The role:
The role of Process Operator is to ensure the efficient operation of DGC's manufacturing facilities. The Process Operator must follow all plant standard operating procedures, carry out instructions as detailed in the risk management plan and adhere to the quality system and plans. All plant activities must be conducted in a manner that ensures compliance with relevant legislation and codes of practice.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Prepare ingredients for processing.
- Complete quality and process documentation, ensuring traceability and compliance.
- Undertake warehousing activities to support the achievement of plant production plans.
- Provide backup to the control room to ensure the plant has continuous cover.
- Ensure very high levels of plant hygiene and organisation.
- The position involves both day and night shifts in a 4 on 4 off pattern.
Key skills and experience required:
- Drivers License.
- Supportive team member who is flexible, adaptable and self-motivated.
- Proactive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent planning, organising and problem solving capability.
- Technical skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Computer literate.
- Physically fit with a high level of personal hygiene.
- Effective communication skills and personal safety awareness.
- Attention to detail and quality focused - highly regulated food industry.
