We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced FX dealer or recent graduate to join our professional and supportive team with great company culture and working environment in Auckland. 

Key Responsibilities:

§    Hedge positions in accordance with the Hedging Policy and “Daily Hedge Criteria”.

§    Carry out dealing activities and conduct in accordance with the Dealing Conduct Policy.

§    Monitor market trends and movements and communicate insights to the Dealers and the Managing Director.

§    Ensure that margining is occurring in accordance with the Margining of Client Positions Policy.

§    Assist with the determination of market views and perceptions through research, valuation and data analysis.

§    Monitor for errors in pricing and execution of orders, and review and communicate those errors to the Dealing Manager.  Where appropriate, resolve errors in accordance with internal policies, procedures and controls.

§    Monitor client margin levels and amend margin percentages where appropriate.

§    Monitor client transactions and activity.

§    Ensure all price movements are communicated to all key persons within BL Global.

Trading Platform

§    In conjunction with the Operations Manager, ensure that the trading platform (MetaTrader4) is stable and secure from internal and external threats. 

§    Monitor the trading platform to ensure that clients are being closed out of positions in a manner consistent with the Margining of Client Positions Policy and the Client Services Agreement.

§    Monitor the trading platform for price instability and where this occurs, promptly communicate this to the Dealing Manager and Managing Director and if authorised, take the appropriate action in the circumstances.

New Client Accounts

§    Assist with the opening of new client accounts.

§    Assist the Business Development Manager in determining whether clients have suitable knowledge and experience to trade derivatives.

Client Money and Reconciliations

§    Accept deposits and process withdrawals in accordance with the Client Money Policy.

Reporting

§    Ensure that all dealing matters are reported to the Dealing Manager in a timely and accurate manner.

Records

§    Record all documents, information, records and communication relating to the dealing room in a manner consistent with the Document Retention and Record Keeping Policy, Privacy Policy and the Client Services Agreement.  This includes recording all documents, information, records and communication electronically and in a clear manner. 

AML/CFT

Monitor client accounts and transactions for behaviours that are indicative of money laundering or terrorism financing in accordance with the Account and Transaction Monitoring Policy.

Skill & Qualification

§    Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related major. 

§    Excellent knowledge of the derivatives issuer industry and derivatives.

§    Excellent understanding of markets and market dynamics.

§    Excellent knowledge of MetaTrader4.

§    In-depth knowledge and understanding of the workings of a derivatives business and its operational needs.

§    Strong communication skills.

§    High attention to detail.

§    Strong analytical and research skills.

§    Self-motivated.

§    Good understanding of financial markets law, including, but not limited to, Financial Markets Conduct Act (and related regulations), Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act (and related regulations and materials), Financial Advisers Act and the Financial Service Providers Act.

§   Good operational knowledge of account and transaction monitoring.

 Language requirement

Fluent in Chinese and English in oral and writing.
