Kings Engineering, part of the Bloomfield Group, have been providing a wide spectrum of engineering services to the Mining, Transport, Electrical, Aluminum, Agricultural, Construction, Rail, Manufacturing and Food Processing industries for in excess of 90 years. Kings have two workshops facilities one in Rutherford and one in Lithgow, NSW.

Kings Engineering is seeking to appoint an experienced manual Machinist who will be based at the Rutherford workshop. The successful person will have extensive manual machining experience working in a medium to heavy industrial environment with the ability to perform machining of parts from drawings and samples to a high standard, on time and on budget. The position is a permanent full-time role on day shift in the workshop.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide safe, accurate and efficient machining of parts from drawings and samples
• Operate a variety of manual machines including lathes, drilling and milling machines and borers
• Complete jobs to a high standard, on time, on budget and in accordance with quality assurance systems

Essential Criteria:

• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
• Relevant machinist trade qualification
• A minimum of 2 years post trade machinist experience working in a medium to heavy industrial environment
• Extensive manual machining experience and proven ability to manufacture parts from drawings and samples
• Ability to work unsupervised and experience coaching others on machining
• Strong problem solving ability
• Proficient in reading CAD drawings
• Proven ability to build proactive relationships and to work as part of a team
• Relevant Work Cover tickets are desirable; Forklift, Dogging
