This business is expanding and we are recruiting for experienced Landside Security Officers to be employed at our client's sites at Sydney Airport. This is a great opportunity for Security professionals with an excellent presentation and a strong customer oriented approach.

As a Landside Security Officer, you will act as a first responder to all security related incidents observed in the terminals. You will provide an 'observe and report' function to assist SACL and other agencies in the detection of potential acts of terrorism or criminal activities using various Human Behavioural Detection Techniques. 

You will provide a high profile and overt visual presence with a view to deterring illegal or inappropriate behaviour at the airport. You will also prevent any unauthorised entry to secure and sterile areas at the airport and also conduct pro-active patrols that are 'intelligence based' and 'ad hoc' rather than routine. You will also attend serious incidents and provide support or first response in relation to safety of persons involved, Crime Scene Managment, Crowd control and gathering information and recording details appropriately.

As a Landside Officer you will also attend incidents relating to any suspicious items/packages and apply stringent techniques aimed at deeming such items safe and/or escalating such incidents to Law enforcement agencies.

• SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :-

• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to use multiple electronic devices as required
• Have a minimum 3 years in the security or aviation industry undertaking a senior security role
• Be physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Have a demonstrated commitment to customer service
• Hold a Current Certificate II in Security Operations and a minimum 1AC NSW Security License
• Must be able to demonstrate and have an excellent understanding of radio communication procedures
• Be competent in the use of Word & Excel
• Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with unrestricted rights to work in Australia
• Able to pass background and character checks as required by the Australian Government to obtain an ASIC Card
