WesTrac are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Mechanical Trade Assistant to join our team based on our Wilpinjong Site due to increased workload. As the successful applicant you will be required to assist in preparing parts and tooling required for major shutdown jobs, assisting in hydraulic hose building when required, working closely with onsite Plant Mechanics assisting with mechanical repairs.
What we are looking for
- Previous experience working as Trade Assistant within a mechanical and/or engineering workshop environment
- Current C class drivers license (HR advantageous)
- Strong understanding and experience with Caterpillar equipment
- Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety industry standard requirements
- Ability to undertake and pass induction processes
- Strong customer service focus and communication skills
- Time and self-management skills
- Previous experience assisting boilermakers, welders, fitters
- Must be able to use hand tools
- Will have an excellent attitude towards safety
- General housekeeping
- The ability to work in a team and independently to meet operational goals and targets
