Carnarvon PCYC is currently looking for a dedicated Caretaker to live on site on a long term basis and assist with the day to day maintenance of the Centre.
Who We Are:
Established in Western Australia in 1941, The Federation of Western Australian Police and Community Youth Centres (WA PCYC) is a not-for-profit organisation that creates opportunities for young people through the delivery of two broad youth services: development (intervention) programs and recreational activities. We manage in excess of 50 PCYC Centres and Blue Light Units throughout metropolitan and regional Western Australia, as well as one camp facility.
Position Profile:
The WAPCYC is currently seeking a dedicated Caretaker to provide efficient and effective caretaking support to the Carnarvon PCYC site including ensuring the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards and that heating systems operate at optimum efficiency.
This position will suit a semi-retired/ retired couple seeking flexible working opportunity and happy to live on site on a long term basis to assist in the day to day maintenance and up keep of the Centre.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Open and the close the Gymnasium each day.
- Ensuring the Centre is secure each night also on weekends
- Ensuring the Centre is Clean at all times
- Maintenance of Centre grounds
Selection Criteria:
- Experience working in previous Caretaker or similar role (desirable)
- Good customer service skills
- Available for 5 hours per week
- Excellent time management and reliability
- Current/ willing to obtain a Working With Children’s Check Card
- Current/ willing to obtain a Police Clearance
