Our multidisciplinary service offering includes the traditional services of scaffolding, rope access, insulation, protective coatings & blasting and passive fire protection as well as specialist services such as refractory, asbestos management, and advanced industrial cleaning and vaccumation of heat exchangers, pipes, tanks and vessels using high pressure water and chemicals.
The Project
The Chandala Processing Plant Project is apart of the Tronox mines ore deposit operations. Cape Australia provides ongoing maintenance operations on this plant, site located near Muchea, North of Perth. These positions will be in a daily DIDO (Drive in - Drive out) capacity.
Our ideal candidates will lead by example and demonstrate a high level of safety and respect for their crews. Your technical knowledge and knowhow coupled with previous experience running successful teams will be critical to your success within the project.
You will be responsible for:
- Supervision of work crews
- Actively participate in running daily toolbox talks and pre-start
- Commit to project completion goals
- Deliver continuous improvement initiatives
- Commitment towards facilitating a safe working environment
- Mentor, train and performance manage your team
- Initiate work tasks and prepare work fronts
To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
- A minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience preferably in a mine site maintenance environment
- Preferably a Trade Qualification in related discipline
- Hold a current Crane Operator (Franna) Ticket
- Hold a current Intermediate Rigging Ticket
- Hold a Current Nationally Accredited Working at Heights & in Confined Space Qualification (2-year validity)
- Hold a nationally accredited OHS Card (White/Blue Card)
- Ability to pass a project specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
