Norris Cleaning Company was established in Canberra in 1969. This privately owned and family run company has since grown and now employs over 170 staff.
About the role
We are seeking several experienced Commercial Cleaners who have Security Clearances to join the large team of Norris Cleaning. The roles available are for part-time and full-time, once your 3 month probation period has been completed.
***Due to various client requirements having a security clearance is essential***
To be successful in this role you must send your resume and a 1 page covering letter highlighting your experience and reasons for wanting to join Norris Cleaning.

Tasks may include but are not limited to the following:
- spot cleaning of carpets and soft furnishings;
- operating hand held powered equipment such as blowers, vacuum cleaners and polishers;
- sweeping and mopping;
- toilet cleaning;
- rubbish collection;
- dusting of all hard surfaces;
- re-arranging and re-organising furniture;
- Wiping and sweeping under and around seats and table tops.
You will be expected also to:
- be responsible for the quality of your own work subject to routine supervision;
- work under routine supervision either individually or in a team;
- exercise discretion within the level of their skills and training; and
- perform those tasks customarily performed by cleaners utilising a range of materials and equipment, to clean a range of surfaces in order to restore or maintain buildings in a clean and hygienic condition
In addition, the Manager (or any person authorised by the Manager to give directions to the Employee) may reasonably assign to the Employee additional duties from time to time.
In carrying out the employee's duties, the employee must:
- Conform to and observe and comply with all reasonable directions given to them.
- Devote the whole of their time, attention and ability during business hours to the Business and their duties.
- Conform to such hours of work as may be reasonably required of him/her to enable them to effectively and efficiently perform his/her duties.
- Comply with the policies and procedures contained in the Norris Cleaning Company Integrated Management Systems and all statutory and common laws as prescribed by the Commonwealth of Australia.

Skills and experience
All applicants must have a Security Clearance. Neg Vet 1 or above preferred.
