Work for the leading tree planting contractor in Melbourne.
We are currently advertising for a qualified and experienced Arborist seeking leadership opportunities; competent in data collection software and tree selection with the ability to lead a small team delivering tree planting and establishment.
You will be required to work Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 3.30pm.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate tree planting programs within streets and parks.
- Liaise with internal Contract Manager with regards to coordination of works program, measuring team performance and data collection.
- Liaise directly with the Council representatives.
- Ensure that the trees are planted to specifications.
- Leadership, mentoring, training and supporting a small team.
- Inspect and assess trees
- Identify with planting sites
- Recommend tree planting species
- Provide guidance and support to the tree planting crews
- Use mapping and software packages to record tree data
Applicants for the role must be able to demonstrate the following skills.
Essential Attributes:
- Cert IV or V in Arboriculture
- Previous Arboriculture/Horticulture experience
- Tree identification skills
- Current manual drivers licence
- White Card.
- First Aid Level 1
Salary is negotiable and will be determined on skill set and experience.
