About the Role
Are you an organised and motivated individual who enjoys new challenges and workplace variety? Do you have experience in operating plant?
The Assistant Gardener is to assist the Community and Recreation Branch in providing beneficial and cost efficient horticultural and grass maintenance services to the Local Government area of Dubbo Regional Council.
Key areas of accountability for this position include:
- Provide quality maintenance services by utilising plant in an efficient and effective manner
- Undertake horticultural maintenance and construction tasks as required
Essential Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience and skills in operating horticultural related large and small plant such as tractors, large specialised mowing machinery, ‘whipper snippers’, chainsaws, edgers, etc
- Demonstrated ability to work positively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience in undertaking other horticultural related tasks
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks and to work with minimal supervision or unsupervised
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to manage workplace safety when undertaking horticultural related activities
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues and solve problems
Desirable Selection Criteria
- Class MR Drivers Licence

Salary: $48,189-$56,004 per annum plus superannuation and an industry allowance
