Due to organic growth in Veolia's Energy Technical Services division Sydney and successful tenders on various innovative and exciting projects a number of exciting positions have come available.
Veolia Energy is ramping up for 2018 and we are looking for multiple BMS / Controls Technicians to join the Sydney team.
Veolia Energy is the preferred supplier of Trend/Tracer products. We are looking to recruit motivated BMS technicians, ideally with experience in the Trend, Tracer or Tridium/Niagara service and project space. (Other product experience will be considered for the right candidate.)
This position requires a high level of customer service, the ability to develop technically whilst also ensuring 100% OH&S compliance. Reporting into the Energy services Team Leader the BMS technicians will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of BMS equipment and facilities assigned to them with a focus on energy efficiency and customer satisfaction. There will also be a requirement to respond to emergency services calls and assist with small project works from time to time.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Provide technical support and breakdown assistance, software modifications planning and quoting for repairs when faults are detected
- Work with the Energy Services Team Leader to ensure personal safety and productivity targets are fulfilled regularly.
- Provide technical support and breakdown assistance to a variety of clients. This includes software modifications planning and quoting for repairs when faults are detected
- Maintain and develop working customer relationships to deliver outcomes in line with company objectives.
- Prepare and submit field service quotations when faults are detected.
- Provide sales support to Customers and Internal Stakeholders.
- Ensure works carried out are adequately documented in line customer and company requirements through accurate reporting.
- Identify opportunity and assist the Team Leader with technical proposals for value add works to our existing end client base.
- Participate in an after-hours callout roster.
- Report to Energy Services Team Leader on any site issues (quality, equipment condition, productivity and/or safety issues etc)
- Prepare and assist with the completion of customer BMS audit reports.
- Provide technical support and assist in developing the technical skillset of less senior team members when possible.
Skills and Experience preferred, but not limited to:
- Relevant trade qualification
- Technical knowledge in an HVAC and Central Plant or Energy Solutions environment.
- High level of Technical competency in BMS and related control products/devices. (Ideally Tridium / Trend / Tracer, although not essential)
- Driver's Licence
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Experience and sound knowledge with a variety of HVAC systems on commercial, retail, government projects. A strong customer focus and work ethic and ability to provide a consistently high level of building maintenance across all facets of fixed plant and equipment.
- A solid understanding of a variety of Air Conditioning principles and systems and ability to provide a consistently high level of building maintenance across all facets of fixed plant and equipment.
- An interest in finding solutions and solving problems
- The ability to build excellent relationships with your customers
- Excellent verbal & written communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
- Reliable, self-motivated and well presented.
- Available to work overtime, after hour's rosters and have a strong commitment to safe work practices.
Your salary will consist of a base hourly rate + company car + mobile phone + other tools of the trade.
