The Role
Reporting directly to the Fitting Supervisor you will have the responsibility of leading from the front and be able to inspire and support your team. You will enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience and thrive seeing your team reach their goals. You will be hands on and have the responsibility for performing general fitting works as well.
Duties will include:
- Delegate duties and tasks to your team maximising labour outputs
- Assist with quotations/tenders and efforts to reduce job costs
- Provide technical and product information to staff.
- Supervise trades persons to work on plant equipment and components in accordance with manufacturers' standards
- Assist with job estimations including planning and job progress
- Supervise the on the job training of trades persons and apprentices
To be considered for this position you must have
- Certified Tradesperson (Mechanical Fitter or similar)
- Current Drivers License
- Experience in a similar role
- Experience with Dragline and shovel equipment
- Excellent team work skills and a natural leader
- Self-starter with strong communication skills and an excellent eye for detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a good understanding of computer systems
