About us :

Our Client is a family owned Civil Contracting & Plant Hire Company, who has had a prominent presence on the South Coast of New South Wales since it was established in 1997.  Began operations with just two dump trucks and now comprises of a fleet of over sixty-five items of heavy machinery.
Our client has created an extensive portfolio of civil engineering works, ranging from small to large projects. Providing services in the management of civil construction projects, covering all types of commercial civil construction, particularly in large, public infrastructure projects.


About the position: 

We at Edmen Workforce are currently seeking a Field Service Technician / Mechanic to Carry out repairs, maintenance and servicing on the diverse fleet of plant, equipment and vehicles.

Duties and responsibilities required:

- You will be diagnosing and taking action with mechanical faults , managing and servicing on all of the companies fleet vehicles and equipment.  
- Liaising with Plant Manager on any issues that need attention regarding safety
 and where other trades need to be involved in order to carry out modifications and repairs 
- Undertake mechanical repairs and sourcing for necessary parts required
- Maintaining of service records to a high standard 
- Perform duties on site and in a workshop environment

- Highly skilled and demonstrate experience in computer diagnostics and problem solving
- Work within set time frames and deadlines
- Honest, reliable and self-motivated

- Knowledge of Mechanical Workshop operations and associated equipment.
- Knowledge of standards and regulations associated with the mechanical workshop
- Understanding the latest technology relating to a mechanical workshop, plant and fleet.




Selection Criteria: 

• Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic  
• Proven advanced experience working on earthmoving equipment
• Hold current HR driver’s license (preferable) or willing to obtain, MR license
• Experience with CAT equipment preferred
• Demonstrate knowledge of WHS policies 
• Knowledge of Mechanical Workshop operations and associated equipment.
• Knowledge of standards and regulations associated with the mechanical workshop
• Knowledge in the latest technology relating to a mechanical workshop, plant and fleet.
