Position description:

The role will be the head of service at TOMRA Australia and will report into the President of the company, working alongside other members of the leadership team.

The Service Director will have responsibility for strategic service, accountable for the overall success of TOMRA service outcomes and will support the growth of new and existing local opportunities. The position has two management level direct reports which form the service management team and responsibility for a workforce of approximately 40 + employees. The service organisational unit includes front-end infield as well as a back-end office-based team members.

The opportunity offers a key role in a dynamic and transforming business for someone who delivers results, focuses on continuous improvement and a great customer experience. As one of the leaders in our Sydney office, this role will also be responsible for providing leadership support, development and governance for all employees within the company.

Essential skills and experience:

• Prior experience within or knowledge of the waste and recycling industry is desirable

• Previous high profile and complex customer base

• Experience working in a senior role within business services

• Track record of success in leading medium sized businesses

• A dynamic leader with a proven ability to motivate and lead a cross functional team to effect change and to meet objectives and goals

• Having a healthy level of optimism and resilience - to persevere when faced with setbacks or adversity

• Strong financial and commercial skills, understanding of pricing models, budgets and forecasting

• Demonstrable experience delivering strategic insights and recommendations

• Excellent planning and project management skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines

• Personable and able to deal with rapid business change

• Strong communication skills

• Exceptional organisational skills

• Have a high attention to detail
