About You:
You have already started on the Heavy Vehicle Mechanic pathway and are looking to slot into a full-time 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprenticeships. You’ll enjoy working in a large, well-established Transport company that services the Riverina.
About the Role:
You’ll get great experience and will:
- Diagnose, overhaul, repair, tune, maintain and test heavy vehicles
- Detect mechanical and electrical faults by using instruments that check charging and starting circuitry, batteries, ignition and ignition timing, fuel injection systems and speed control, cylinder compression, engine condition, braking efficiency, and wheel balance / alignment
- Use oxy, electric, TIG and MIG welding, hand fitting or machining processes to replace or repair faulty parts
- Carry out minor body and trim repairs
- Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or list the work required before a certificate can be issued
A current driver’s licence is preferred for this position, but most of all we are looking for reliable candidates that have a passion for completing their Heavy Vehicle Mechanic apprenticeship.
