The Company:

Community Solutions are a for purpose' community organisation currently seeking individuals who share our values and have the passion to enter the industry as an automotive professional. Community Solutions are currently seeking applicants for a Light Vehicle Automotive Apprenticeship within the beautiful Sunshine Coast region to commence immediately.

You will be employed by Community Solutions in a full-time apprenticeship, earn a weekly wage and be exposed to all aspects of your chosen profession as we host you to a host organisation. Dedicated Community Solutions Field Representatives are assigned to you to guide you through obtaining your Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanics whilst offering support over your placement/s during your apprenticeship.

The Role:

The role will be based within a busy, fast paced, panel beating, painting and mechanical workshop in Maroochydore. Working one-on-one with the principal tradesman and the latest technology, you will receive industry leading, in-depth training, relevant to the automotive industry. The successful applicant will primarily repair and service light vehicle engines and parts. This may involve working on things such as steering and suspension systems, cooling and fuel systems, clutch assemblies, manual and automatic transmissions and tyre fitting. This broad position will offer a wealth of knowledge to build a foundation within the industry.

About You:

• Must have already commenced AUR30616 - Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanics
• Must have minimum 12months experience as a Light Vehicle Apprentice or completed prevocational training
• Have a manual drivers licence and own transport
• Have the ability to use initiative within the workplace
• Have a desire and passion for the industry
• Have high attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
• Be extremely reliable, motivated & able to handle a fast paced, busy environment
• Be able to prioritise and meet strict deadlines
• Strong time management skills and communication skills
