Our client, one of the major players in their field, require the assistance of Evolve Scientific Recruitment to source an experienced Associate Scientist on a fixed term contract to start immediately.

This ultra-modern facility is easily accessible by public transport and has free on-site parking. It is located not far from Melbourne CBD.

About the role:

Reporting through to the Senior Scientist this role is responsible for:

• Process equipment cleaning, preparation configuration and operation
• Preparation of media, buffers and reagents
• Maintenance and calibration of equipment
• Real time completion of documentation
• Assist in investigations, risk assessments and validation activities
• General facility housekeeping

To be successful in this position you will have:

• A Bachelor of Science majoring in Biochemistry, Chemistry or equivalent field
• Solid understanding of fermentation/ cell culture/ purification process development.
• Previous experience within the Pharmaceutical industry in a GMP environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Exceptional report writing skills
