Prospero Teaching have recently been appointed as an 'Official Department for Education (DfE) supplier for the provision of International Teacher Recruitment in the UK. We are currently looking for an Outstanding Physics Teacher to join a Catholic college in the South of England on a permanent basis in January 2019.
Ranked “Outstanding” by Ofsted the college holds a number of nationally recognised awards including; Inclusive School Award, International School Award, and Arts Mark. The college prides itself on the support it provides students and teachers, in particular the Science Leadership partnership they are involved with.
The college has high aspirations for both students and staff and therefore are heavily invested in professional development. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and wanting future career progression.
The college is looking to recruit an overseas trained Physics Teacher from New Zealand and Australia, the ideal candidate will have completed their full registration in either Australia or New Zealand and will be qualified to teach Year 9 and above. The school is interested in hearing from experienced and recently qualified Physics Teachers and will assist in supporting the right candidate with a UK work Visa.
The successful candidate will have:
- A relevant teaching qualification from Australia or New Zealand such as a Bachelor’s, Masters or Post Graduate Diploma
- Full teachers registration in either New Zealand or Australia
- A relevant teaching qualification from Australia or New Zealand such as a Bachelor’s, Masters or Post Graduate Diploma
- Full teachers registration in either New Zealand or Australia
- High standards and expectations
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- A commitment to team work and lead a team of teachers
- A positive outlook
- Excellent subject knowledge and be a passionate teacher of Physics
- Be able to plan exciting, engaging schemes of work
- Be aware of the importance of the organisation of different teaching strategies which underpin successful learning situations
- Be willing to support the extra-curricular opportunities that exist around Physics
- The drive to succeed
The successful candidate will be eligible for/supported with:
- £1000 relocation package
- Full residential acclimatization course,
- In-school mentoring and relocation advice pre and post arrival to England and throughout your teaching post.
- Other support services and advice include; visas and work permits, professional in-school mentoring and support,
- relocation advice, and best practice subject specific, teaching courses covering approaches to the new British curriculum (e.g. mastery / problem solving)
