The company
Our client is a global food and beverage industry leader, based in the south-eastern suburbs. The quality assurance department is currently expanding and looking to add a LABORATORY TECHNICIAN to their team.
The role
This is a permanent full time position based in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
- Conduct laboratory testing according to test procedures, safety measures and established plan.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated and maintained as per schedule (ICP).
- Adherence to the Quality Management System as per company standards and procedures
- Drive continuous improvement via Internal / External Verifications (Audits, Inspections) & CI methodology.
- Ensure 5S / Good housekeeping / GLP in the laboratory.
About you
You will have:
Experience with GC, HPLC, ICP and understanding of its field of application.
Experience with Wet and Dry Chemistry techniques such as gravimetric analysis, titration, instrument based measurements (e.g. pH, water activity)
Operational Experience in TGA laboratory.
Experience planning and executing method validation, create TGA verification / validation documents and maintain day to day analytical work.
Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Chemistry or Food technology.
