About the Role
Working with an existing team on a new development, you will apply knowledge and methodology from various scientific disciplines to assist the team in the early detection of human disease.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and execute in vitro studies of diagnostic kits.
- Manage stability program in R&D.
- Lead evaluation of antibody reagents.
- Lead new product prototype verification studies
- Interpretation of results and the development of new test procedures
- Validation or new test equipment
- Setting up the steps and rules of laboratory medical testing
- Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment
- Maintaining laboratory quality assurance and safety standards
- Draft protocols and write up study reports to support regulatory submissions.
- Maintain confidentiality.
To be successful for this role you must have:
- Tertiary qualifications or higher in science with a Life Science discipline or related.
- Competence in the requisite laboratory skills, including those of a biochemistry laboratory.
- The ability to execute laboratory work in strict accordance with company SOP’s.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills with the ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Excel/Office,
- Attention to detail and accuracy;
- Good record keeping skills;
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
