Bio-Strategy is a dynamic, growing supplier of leading brand laboratory products, instrumentation and solutions to the scientific community in education, research, medicine and industry throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Our broad customer base includes pharmaceutical and medical research centres, biotech companies, industrial (food, dairy, beverage) and educational and government organisations.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced scientific sales person to manage the customer accounts and relationships in one of our key territories in Sydney, NSW. You will be required to use your sales and business development skills to grow and develop your territory and win new business.
The Role:
- Manage your designated accounts within your territory
- Develop and implement account strategies in line with business objectives to grow existing business and identify and exploit new opportunities
- Effectively manage and track your sales activities through the company's CRM
- Meet sales targets in line with company strategic marketing initiatives
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to management
- Utilise market intelligence to develop account management strategies
- Provide excellent customer service to your customer accounts
- This position will also have a regional component so travel ability will be essential
The Person:
- Essential - Tertiary qualifications in Science (any discipline)
- Proven sales experience in life science, laboratory products or biotechnology (essential)
- Enjoy the challenge of sales in a technical competitive environment
- Team player who can interact with management, technical support, customer service and other sales and marketing team members
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
- Driven to achieve results and provide excellent customer service
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to travel to regional accounts
The successful applicant will receive full product training. An attractive remuneration package including base salary, incentive scheme, mobile phone and a generous car allowance will be offered.
