The role
To drive improvements in Coles brand product quality by optimising the Sensory and Quality Testing Program and by liaising and influencing key stakeholders within the cross functional team and by focused customer reviews.
This is a role that will continuously review and highlight opportunities for improvement of the quality programme, quality attribute specifications and IT systems.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- tertiary education qualifications in a Science discipline
- previous relevant industry experience in technical and quality roles within the food industry
- the ability to be self-motivated, work autonomously, have a professional demeanour, be dependable and offer support to other team members
- strong computer skills with a good understanding of Microsoft Office applications
- previous team management experience
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- take accountability for personal and team compliance with internal company policies and procedures (including Coles Code of Conduct)
- ensure team member compliance, training and development
- manage effective scheduling of the Quality System, bench-marking and customer review deep dives to support the business in identifying areas of improvement
- continuous improvements of Quality IT infrastructure
- maintain and document inspection methods
- attend supplier visits as required
- manage/implement quality check program with relevant stakeholders and suppliers
