We are seeking experienced Sample Preparation/ Metallurgical Technician for a SOR location. Previous experience in sample preparation in a commercial laboratory is a MUST.
Reporting to the Supervisor, the roles are responsible for preparing and processing samples for analysis to meet the client requirements. The position will require you to generate accurate and precise analytical results.
These positions are Monday to Friday with rotating shift work for duration of approx. 3 months with potential ongoing opportunities.
On a daily basis, the core responsibilities and tasks include (but not limited to):
- Sample preparation - sorting, weighing, drying, crushing, splitting and pulverising.
- Physical work in a dusty environment
- General housekeeping and upkeep of work areas and equipment;
- Full compliance to OHS&E requirements;
- Help ensure that internal QA/QC standards are met
- A current High Risk Forklift ticket is desirable but not essential
