An opportunities exist for a Coal Quality Testers based at our Richlands site.  These roles will include duties within the Physical Testing and Analytical Laboratory and potentially sampling at the port sites.  If you have a drive to produce quality results and a strong team spirit, we would like to hear from you.
 
Position Synopsis:
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, the position requirements include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and to agreed standard operating instructions
  
• Ensuring that all work complies with national and international standards
  
• Checking and validating all results to ensure that they are within repeatability tolerances
  
• Transfer validated results into the reporting system
  
• Maintain the laboratory and its equipment according to company standards
  
• A range of physical tests including sample preparation, crushing, dividing and sample storage
  

 Requirements:
Full training will be provided to the successful candidates.  However, to be considered for this position you will have:

• A strong focus on safety, quality and team work
  
• Good grasp of computers/technology
  
• Ability to multi task and meet tight deadlines
  
• Comfortable with manual handling duties, including repetitive lifting
  
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new systems
  
• A valid forklift licence is desirable
  
• Previous industry experience would be seen as an advantage
  
• 12 hour day or night shifts may be required
  

 
As part of the selection process, a pre-employment medical exam is required; including a drug and alcohol assessment.
