Our Company
Healthcare Logic is a unique, fully funded R&D company in the Healthcare sector based in the Gold Coast, QLD. We create hospital analytics solutions working in partnership with various health services and academic institutions. We are a small but motivated, high-performing team interested in improving access to and the management of hospital and health services.
Role
This role presents an opportunity to grow to the next level in your statistics/data science/ management career. You will be mentored by our senior team including leaders in predictive statistics, hospital management logic, software development and customer success.
You will help drive Healthcare Logic’s applied predictive statistics agenda, use predictive modelling techniques to solve complex problems in ways that can be integrated at scale, test the solutions in situ and refine, and help build and manage our applied predictive statistics team. Starting in the early stages of an R&D program will be challenging, but for the right person, this opportunity will give you the stage to shine and accelerate your career.
Required Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following:

2-5 years industry experience years applying statistics to yield better outcomes with proven track record

Proficiency in R; able to use various types of supervised and unsupervised learning techniques to develop predictive models including but not limited to: random forest analyses, logistic regression, survival analysis, clustering, neural networks, etc

Proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of data structures and transformations

Experience with managing teams, projects and timelines

Drive and enthusiasm; the candidate must be driven and possess the ability to solve complex problems within agreed timeframes with a focus on quality and outcomes

Minimum of an honours/ masters degree with a bachelor in mathematics, science or related fields
The following qualities are valued but not essential:

Analytics experience in the healthcare industry

Proficiency with AI and deep-learning techniques with proven track record

Experience using Bayesian analysis with proven track record
-
+2 years experience in a professional services firm
-
Proficiency in python, perl, NoSQL, React, Angular QlikView and other similar business intelligence tools

Peer-reviewed publications
