Exciting opportunity for a Property Officer job within a Local Council located close to Melbourne’s CBD.

Your new company
A Local Council located near the CBD is seeking a Property Officer to oversee a diverse range of property duties. This Council has an interesting property portfolio and requires a Property Officer to assist with leasing, licensing and acquisition work.

Your new role
You will be responsible for:

• Management of all facets of property within a Local Government context including leasing, licencing, acquisitions and joint use agreements.
• Managing freehold and crown land.
• Communicating with tenants and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Negotiating and communicating with stakeholders.
• Writing briefs and reports to Senior Management.
• Managing road discontinuances.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Customer-service focus.
• Demonstrated experience in managing both freehold and Crown Land.
• Demonstrated experience in contract management and report writing.
• Ability to provide general property advice and will need to do so enthusiastically and as a team player.
• Past employment within Local or State Government is highly advantageous.
