Facilities Coordinator - NSW Government Department

The Role:
This role is required to coordinate the day to day management of buildings and facility related services and assets associated with the Department's Laboratories located at Lidcombe. 

Key Accountabilities:

• Oversee the day to facility operations and development and implementation of sound asset management systems and controls for the Laboratories, to support the WHS, financial, physical infrastructure, procurement and lifecycle management processes and to ensure the department meets its statutory obligations.
• Coordinate the onsite facility assets and oversee the implementation of operational facility management functions of the site, including the asset and lifecycle management, monitor and report on the performance of property assets and make recommendations to maximise performance.
• Coordinate the asset management processes, ensuring the processes are thorough, consultative and projects are completed within budget and in a timely manner.
• Oversee contract management obligations within asset management, ensuring the organisation complies with best practice in relation to procurement, monitoring, review and reporting.
• Ensure the development and implementation of asset management strategies. facilities maintenance procedures and processes.
• Ensure the maintenance of complete and accurate property databases and asset registers.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships to promote Property Facility & Fleet’s role in supporting the department
