Client Details

My client is a leading global property services organisation based globally in most major cities. They are currently looking for an experienced Building Services Supervisor to join their high performing team working on their CBD and fringe CBD commercial sites. A superb cultured business working with a high performing peer group.

Description

Reporting into the Senior Property Manager, you will be tasked with the following:

• Representing the business to owners to tenants
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships
• Actively look for ways to improve building performance across presentation, plant/equipment operation, safety/risk management and compliance
• Ensuring all Essential Safety Measures requirements are met
• Co-ordinate contractors and monitor performance and compliance against, a documented maintenance schedule
• Assist Property Managers and Owners with preparation of operating and capital budgets for the properties as required
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to Property Managers and Owners
• Be available by phone and provide assistance for after hours emergencies and call-outs to the properties
• Ensuring all stakeholders are kept up to date with scheduled works
• Monitoring the operation of plant and equipment servicing the sites
• Provide proactive advice to improve building performance with regards to environmental controls
• Conducting regular inspections of the sites and ensuring all information is logged
• Provide support for reactive maintenance in order to reduce down time
• Assist with onboarding contracts for maintenance and services
• Maintain the contractor database
• Manage any operational issues, repairs and maintenance in accordance with agreed expenditure limits
• Organise access and keys ensuring security of the buildings

Profile

To be considered for the role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

• Demonstrated knowledge of technical services, especially HVAC and electrical systems.
• Experience with Building Services and Facilities Management
• A thorough understanding of compliance and risk management requirements
• the ability to work autonomously
• Contractor Management
• The ability to prioritise
• The ability to meet deadlines and work within set time-frames
• Client focused matched with strong communication skills
• The ability to work well in a team environment
• Sound computer skills including Microsoft suite of products
• A valid Drivers License and vehicle available for use as the person in this position will be required to travel to and from sites.
• Tertiary qualifications in Facility Management or related field is highly desirable
