Your new company
A well financed, foreign investment group has announced itself on to the Victorian market with the development of a highly sought after Melbourne development site. For the last couple of years the group has been active in buying sites in Australia and acquiring permits to proceed with the delivery of two mixed use/hotel projects - one in Melbourne and another in Queensland. Both sites have been settled and paid for in cash, with all returns from current projects to be re-invested in to the Australian property market.
Your new role
With one key shareholder in Australia the business will be run on a slim reporting structure, decisions can be made quickly on live projects. The position will have a delivery focus although there will also be front end responsibilities:
- Project Development daily operation including concept and design development; stakeholders, consultant negotiation and liaison.
- Prepare project design briefs, design meetings and development actions
- Sales and marketing strategy - appointment of agents and co-ordination of channels
- Identify cost savings and add value to a project wherever possible
- Supervise and co-ordinate tender process
- Pursue innovative best practice design wherever possible
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have at least ten years experience in a similar development management position operating end to end. Hotel experience will be considered favourably in the interview process. You will posses the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines with a solid understanding of the Melbourne property market. Strong communication skills and an ability to offer strategic input for the business moving forward will also be key to this role.
