Position Overview
The Facility Manager will be responsible for the CAE facility operations in Australia and New Zealand in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. They will manage and execute the day-day facility support operations of CAE facilities (e.g. facility services subcontractor management), project manage and lead office moves and perform the tasks of solution lead for proposals that require a facilities solution as part of the CAE offering.
Initially, they will also be responsible for greeting visitors and couriers to the Silverwater facility until the move to a new office.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring facilities meet health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation
- Directing, coordinating and planning essential central services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling
- Manage the maintenance of the Silverwater building by performing repairs or contracting maintenance services as needed
- Act as a prime contact with Landlords on Facility issues and lease management for all the facilities across ANZ region
- Project management / Supervising and coordinating the work of contractors
- Arranging quotations, associated paperwork and proposals
- Tender preparation, assessment and management
- Using performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels
- Develop and conduct environmental site audits and inspections, prepare audit records and reports
- Responsible for financial management of the facilities annual operating budget including compliance with financial delegations
- Manage major and minor building projects including management of budgets so that projects are delivered within budget
- Provide management with early warning of any potential budget overruns so that risk can be managed and mitigated
CAE will be considering candidates with 5 or more years experience within a similar role.
