Your new company
Client is government owned corporation based in Brisbane's CBD. As result of continuing peak in workload into the new financial year they are looking to engage an experienced Client Side Project manager to deliver a number of projects on their behalf.
Your new role
The role works as key part of a small, high performing team that delivers a large number of projects on behalf of the business. The projects are usually fit-out works and will be on the property portfolio which is a mix of commercial and retail sites with some heritage projects thrown into the mix. As the project workload tends to involve large number of smaller projects as opposed to having to manage one or two large projects, the key requirement is being organised and diligent enough to be able to pick up and run with a number of concurrent projects adding some of the required project methodology and rigour around the projects while working hard to manage the stakeholder relationships to ensure the in-house client sponsors are happy with the process and end result. Worth noting too, that some of the projects could be regional areas and therefore some travel will be required as part of the role. As the role plays part in small team, there are necessarily blurred lines between the job specifications, so this role will also assist with leasing team and the facilities maintenance team as part of their role
What you'll need to succeed
Candidates need to be experienced Client Side Project managers with experience of working in the role managing full project life cycle on behalf of asset owners. Ideally that will be working on similar scale / sort projects too. Candidates will likely have a Construction, PQS, civil engineering or architecture background and will likely have worked for Consultancy in similar role or direct for asset owner / similar public sector entity. Due to the standalone nature of this role, transferable skills will unfortunately not be enough as will be limited in house technical project support. Candidates would need to be comfortable engaging with local management as project owners and take them from early sketched design stages through to tendering and delivery of construction phase.

Client offering good salary and interesting workload. Role initially a contract position for 12 months, but also a likely 6 month extension, with possibility of further ongoing work. In terms of hourly rates will be in range of 54 to 58 per hour plus super
