Description
THE ROLE
This is a unique and exciting opportunity - ideally suited to a couple seeking the lifestyle and adventure of rural life in tropical Far North Queensland.
Our client is one of the State’s major mango producers and looking for reliable and honest staff to take on the roles of Office Manager and Grounds Maintenance Attendant. With accommodation as part of the attractive salary package, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
Officer Manger - Responsible for the daily management of all onsite accommodation, you will be the contact point for tenants, carrying out property inspections and reporting any maintenance issues to management.
The role requires you to efficiently handle all aspects of accounts and invoicing for the business while ensuring the effective management of any related contracts.
You’ll need proven experience in a similar role - preferably within property management. With great book keeping skills, you’ll also be computer savvy and a good verbal and written communicator.
Able to manage your time well, you will be able to multitask across a range of duties which include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Daily management of accommodation facility
- All accounting and invoicing
- Contract handling
- Contact point for tenants
- Identifying maintenance issues
- Some cleaning
Grounds Maintenance Attendant - This role is perfect for someone who has great handy skills or a trade background. Responsible for the grounds and a range of accommodation repairs and maintenance, you will preferably have experience in a similar position and a working knowledge of WHS systems.
Fit and energetic, the job requires someone with a ‘can do’ approach to the work and who can manage their time effectively. You’ll need a C Class (driver’s) License and be required to undertake the following (but not limited to) duties:
- Repair and maintenance of accommodation facilities
- Grounds maintenance - lawns, gardens etc
- Irrigation and waste management service and repairs
- Some cleaning duties
