m3property are seeking applicants for an Assistant Valuer position suitable for a final year University student or graduate. You will join our expanding Commercial / Industrial Valuations team, based in our Sydney office.

This is a great opportunity to work alongside our Director based in Sydney. You will contribute to providing valuation and advice to our Institutional, Financiers, Corporate and Private Clients throughout Australia.

This position requires an individual with good numerical and analysis skills, an understanding of valuation fundamentals and enthusiasm to learn and join a team that is recognised as industry leaders within their specialised field.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Attend property inspections and client meetings;
  • Undertake on-line title and town planning searches;
  • Review and summarise lease documentation;
  • Research and analyse lease and sales transactions;
  • Liaise with sales and leasing agents and collection of Investment Memorandums;
  • Maintain sales and rental database;
  • Undertake financial analysis and cash flow modelling;
  • Compilation of valuation reports and client presentations; and
  • Providing support to other team members in servicing client requirements as required.

Competencies specific to this role include:

  • Basic understanding of statutory and planning provisions relating to valuation;
  • Strong communication and writing skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • A willingness to learn and follow instructions;
  • Ability to work independently or within a team;
  • High degree of self-motivation and an ability to work within timeframes;
  • Ability to multi task;
  • Possess an ability to make informed decisions;
  • High customer service focus; and
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Valuation (graduate applicants);
  • Skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word);
  • Academic transcript that demonstrates strong results within core Valuation subjects.
