Maintenance Manager

Our Client is a government organisation with over 250 properties across NSW. They are focused on ensuring their buildings are compliant and fit for purpose and any backlog of planned or reactive maintenance is cleared. As part of this process you will be the Maintenance Manager engaged for 6 months initially to drive this facilities management program across their Office and Professional Social Infrastructure sites. A Daily rate of $560-$600 per day is on offer.

Duties and Responsibilities for this role will entail:

• Leading the development and implementation of the FM program and the related staff
• Manage and assess the outsourced FM service provider to ensure performance in line with their contract,
• Provide advice to the business regarding facilities issues, trends and specific risks for their portfolio,
• Manage budgets, FM procurement in line with NSW Government guidelines, and provide up to date and accurate reports on actions, activity, programs of work and contractor compliance and performance.

Criteria for Selection will include:

• Tertiary/Trade Qualifications in building or relevant facilities maintenance trades
• Demonstrated exposure to maintenance coordination or minor works projects and maintenance industry standards
• Proven understanding of facilities maintenance, asset management, building codes, environmental and heritage issues

Strong Facilities maintenance contractor management experience and issue resolution skills will be highly regarded especially in a complex or large portfolio environment. You will be highly conversant in the administrative elements of manage a portfolio and team.

You will be required to pass a Police Check and due to the strong potential for contract extension or permanency have unrestricted work rights for Australia.
