Role:
Working closely with our team, the successful applicant will prepare and lodge a range of visa applications. You will be welcomed into a dynamic business that offers creative opportunities to be involved in business development.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Migration Agent or Migration Lawyer to step into a full time 12 month contract, ready to begin within a month.
You will have the opportunity to work with a team of professional and friendly Migration Agents and assistants in a family-friendly, busy and supportive workplace.
Tasks:
- Manage case work and clients
- Formulate advice for clients
- Research legislation cases and precedents
- Ability to deal effectively with relevant authorities including: skills assessing bodies, Immigration SA, the Department of Home Affairs
- Write and provide submissions to the Department of Home Affairs, and/or the Administrative Appeals Tribunal
- Administration - preparing and lodging submissions, general administration, file management
- Organised management of case files
Essential Criteria:
- Must have current Australian registration as a Registered Migration Agent.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Must be able to empathise with and communicate effectively with clients.
- Strong work ethic
Desirable Criteria:
- At least 2 years of experience as a RMA or working in Migration Law – the more experience you have the better.
- Experience with General Skilled Migration (GSM) visa applications (489, 189 and 190) and Business Investor visa applications (188 and 132).
- Knowledge of Leap Migration Manager database.
- Ability to communicate in a language other than English (particularly Mandarin).
- Ability to supervise junior RMA’s
