IP/IT Lawyer - Senior Associate/Special Counsel

Exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Associate or Special Counsel (6+ PAE) working in a leading independent Australian law firm.  The IP/IT team is recognised a leading practice and has an excellent track record in advising clients on all forms of IP and IT transactions including intellectual property protection and commercialisation, intellectual property audits, outsourcing arrangements, research and development agreements, technology transfer, consultancy agreements and commercial contracts, both in Australia and overseas.

Experience

You will have significant previous experience advising on a range of commercial IP matters. Excellent commercial contract skills are a must and a dual qualification in science, life sciences, health or IT would be highly desirable. Due to the seniority of the appointment, business development will be a key part of the role.
You will possess :

• previous experience with a front end commercial IP practice, where you have had exposure to advising clients on IP protection, management and trade mark matters;
• focus on technology, data protection and privacy, intellectual property
• providing advice to clients on competition and consumer issues and general commercial matters. 
• strong drafting and technical skills
• ability to build and foster strong client relationship
