About the Role
 
Due to growth, a new opportunity has arisen for a Legal Counsel to join the Sydney office.  Reporting to the General Counsel the purpose of this role is to support the business on a variety of day to day legal matters including negotiation, advising and drafting contracts, providing legal advice on a range of commercial topics as well as providing advice and support on litigation. 
Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Drafting, negotiating and assisting on a range of commercial contracts with customers, agents and suppliers (including equipment, energy and transport providers)
• Developing internal contracting procedures and other internal procedures directed at promoting legal compliance and reducing legal risk
• Advising on a range of applicable legislative requirements including, but not limited to, competition law issues, Corporations law, OHS, privacy law, franchise law and consumer and small business contracts laws
• Development, provision of and input into internal training on legal matters, including competition and consumer law, contract issues and anti-corruption
