I am currently seeking an experienced Senior Associate for my Client to join one of Australia’s Top Tier leading Law Firms in Canberra. This is an exclusive new opportunity for an ICT expert to join a highly regarded and reputable award winning Law Firm in Canberra’s Top Tier market.

My Client is one of Australia’s Top Tier Law Firms located in Canberra who currently holds an extremely competitive position within the Legal market. This firm is complete with experts in their field who perform with confidence, innovation and excellence. They are seeking an accomplished, passionate and highly skilled Senior Associate to join their Firm to further build their brands market dominance and reputation.

Description

This position offers an abundant array of opportunities to work alongside top performing Lawyers in a fast paced environment. With the capacity, autonomy and ability to act in both transnational and advisory matters, this role requires you to:

• Drafting technology contracts, including hardware and software agreements, consultancy agreements, distribution and marketing agreements, research and collaboration agreements and outsourcing agreements

• Drafting and negotiating relevant consultancy agreements, including time and materials agreements, scoping agreements, penetration testing agreements, project alliance agreements, data analysis agreements and help desk agreements

• Advising on employment, contractor and subcontractor issues relating to the technology, media and telecommunications industries

• Advising on related consumer law and data transfer issues where international parties are involved

• Drafting on a broad range of intellectual property and general commercial agreements, including assignments, licences, settlement agreement, co-existence agreements and research agreements

• Conducting IP due diligence

• Advising government agencies, and entities interacting with government agencies, in relation to compliance with government purchasing requirements.

Profile

The successful applicant will have:

• Minimum 3-5 post qualification experience in ICT, IT or Commercial Law

• Strong inter-personal and client relationship skills

• Excellent ability to draft legal documents and correspondents in clear and concise language

• Implement a high level of attention to detail with clients maintaining the firms strong market reputation

• Who is able to take direction from Partners and Directors

• Be a highly driven and proactive member of the team who represents the firms brand
