Recently formed by the merger of Timezone and the Bowling & Entertainment division of Ardent Leisure, TEEG operates nearly 300 entertainment venues across Australia and south east Asia under the brands Timezone, Zone Bowling, Kingpin and Playtime, making us one of the largest family entertainment centre groups in the world.
 
What we need
 
The business has identified a need for a part-time legal counsel with 4+ years PAE to provide support across a range of legal matters.  The role offers a unique ability to take on a full range of commercial and corporate legal responsibilities with a flexible working arrangement of between 20-25 hours per week, based in the North Sydney office.  There may be some opportunity to supplement office hours with hours worked at home.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Providing support to the Property Leasing team on complex lease matters and disputes (mostly AU)
• Providing support to the Operations teams on commercial agreements including drafting, reviewing and advice (mostly AU)
  
• Supporting management and external advisors on management of the group’s IP assets and transactions (International)
  
• Liaising with external advisors on legal and corporate matters (G&T, EY, PWC, etc)
  
• Management of company registers and corporate documentation such as Board resolutions etc, as well as lodgement of compliance documentation (ASIC etc).
  
• Working the leadership team to document and adopt key policies with as Privacy Policy (AU and some International)
  
• Maintain a database/register of legal contracts and associated documents (primarily AU but some International)
