Brisbane CBD office is your main base with opportunity to travel occasionally

The Firm / Role

Our client is a well established and highly regarded national plaintiff law firm with offices throughout Queensland. They are now seeking an experienced Personal Injuries Paralegal to assist primarily in their Brisbane office, but also for short to medium periods of time in any of their Queensland regional offices. The role will provide Paralegal cover to existing Paralegals who are on annual leave, etc., with all travel expenses covered by the firm. Working on personal injuries cases, your duties will include:

Claim management including, but not limited to, preparation of notices of claim and other legal documents, preparing of non standard correspondence, undertaking quantum and liability investigation

File management under the direction and supervision of the Principal

Provide assistance on litigated matters including, but not limited to, drafting court documents, liaising with counsel and gathering evidence and liaising with lay witnesses as required/directed by the Principal

Attending initial meetings and preparation of initial documents/forms/letters (eg costs agreement/ disclosure notice/ letter of instruction, etc)

Conducting factual research as directed by the Principal.

You

To be suitable for this position, you will need 2 years Paralegal experience in either defendant or plaintiff litigation.
