Insurance Claims Coordinator

The role:

A rare opportunity to join our Service Operations team, we are currently seeking multiple Insurance Relationship Coordinators to provide superior service to Hostplus members, claimants and third-party representatives.

As an experienced professional, you will have a high level of resilience and compassion when handling inbound claim enquiries and will be able to work effectively and efficiently with members and claimants to review and collate the relevant documentation for seamless claims assessing.

Your current knowledge and experience managing end to end processes for superannuation and life insurance claims and having a thorough understanding of relevant legislations will be key to success in this role.

Your other key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and managing respective insurers and ensuring claims are progressing in accordance with service level agreements
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure outcomes are delivered efficiently
  • Managing end to end process for TPD and Death claim
  • Preparing and managing "Declined Claims" for the Claims Review Committee
  • Processing payments in line with best practice standards
  • Identifying and implementing process improvement and changes

To be successful, you will have:

  • Compressive knowledge and understanding of life insurance claims and insurance administration processes
  • Experience within the Superannuation insurance claims, administration industry or Allied Health environment will be highly regarded
  • Ability to articulate complex information in high pressure situations
  • High level of service focus and relationship management
  • RG146 accreditation regarded
