The Role

Guild Insurance currently has an opportunity for an Account Manager within our Commercial Direct Insurance division in Canberra. This full time permanent role will be responsible for growing current client numbers and premium income through the sale of Guild products as well and ensuring efficient and effective servicing of our clients. Some of the key accountabilities will include:

  • Achieving individual client and premium growth and retention targets as per client segmentation
  • Conducting regional visits to clients
  • Relationship Management of clients
  • Maintaining high standards of renewal retentions and client satisfaction
  • Structure and review of annual insurance programs for clients
  • Identifying & actioning potential sales opportunities
  • Applying underwriting guidelines

About You

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar business development and relationship management role within the insurance industry
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve sales targets
  • Good knowledge of underwriting guidelines within the commercial insurance industry
  • Effective selling, networking and negotiation skills
  • Tier 1 Insurance Qualifications
  • Cert IV - General Insurance
  • You will have a keen eye for detail, be highly analytical and results focused
  • You will be confident and approachable and be able to demonstrate exceptional business development and relationship management skills
  • You will enjoy liaising with a variety of people internally and externally
