A leading wealth management services business is seeking an experienced senior risk and compliance manager with a specific background in superannuation. Our client is experiencing major growth and to ensure risk/compliance is at the forefront of this growth, they have created this as a new role. The role is responsible for managing the risk and compliance, managing the communications and responding and interpreting regulatory changes.
The ideal candidate will have extensive technical knowledge in superannuation risk and compliance and be able to work with all levels of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Adapt and in some cases, establish risk and compliance frameworks
- Monitor wider legislative changes in the market ensuring operational activities remain compliant
- Provide internal training and development to ensure team understands business requirements from a risk perspective
- Attend superannuation events (such as ASFA updates) and workshops to keep up with upcoming changes and forecast future changes to keep ahead of the market
Candidate Requirements;
- Proven experience in a risk and compliance function within either an industry fund or corporate super business
- Extensive understanding of process and framework design
- The ability to work in a fast moving environment where change happens quickly
Key to this role will be having an ability to communicate and engage as you will be looked upon as the company SME and engage regulary right across it. This is a business which incorporating new businesses within it so the challenge to manage risk and compliance is ever evolving and no 2 days will be the same. You will be empowered to act and for the right candidate there will be a path up in the business.
