One of Australia’s most reputable & innovative Government agencies is looking to engage an enthusiastic several experienced Actuarial Analysts to work as part a multidisciplinary team to implement actuarial processes to improve the efficiency of data analysis across the agency. The successful Actuarial Analysts will be offered an initial contract until 30 June 2019 + extension options at an attractive hourly rate.
The successful Actuarial Analysts will be responsible for, but not limited to;
- Promoting common terminology and standard definitions;
- Gathering business rules and requirements from data consumers;
- Developing and executing strategies for database using key analytical tools and software;
- Analysing and assessing the impact of proposed changes to data models and database tables;
- Identifying and documenting metadata including attribute definitions and examples.
The successful Actuarial Analyst must have experience in the following;
- Excellent statistical skills, with experience applying statistical methodology to the analysis of large datasets is highly advantageous
- Knowledge and experience with questionnaire design and validation, survey methodology, and psychology
- Experience with one or more of the following: SAS, SQL is advantageous
- Ability in applying software development methods
- Tertiary actuarial qualifications.
