We currently own and operate over 65 Holiday and workforce Parks throughout Australia and employ over 1100 people within these parks. Discovery Parks has recently acquired Australia’s largest network of parks – Top Parks.

The Top Parks transaction structure (being a 100% purchase of the brand) has ultimately accelerated Discovery Parks strategic goals to become the clear market leader in the industry. The acquisition of Top Parks has provided sufficient scale to establish the Licensed Parks Business. In addition to the acquisition of Top Parks, we have launched the G’Day Rewards loyalty program. The Loyalty business has set an ambitious growth plan.

Discovery’s strategy was developed with a significant investment in customer centric operations and technology. Discovery is looking to leverage the work across a larger footprint of parks through the introduction of Licensed parks.

 

The Role

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, this an exciting opportunity  for a results-driven individual to join Discovery Parks as a Senior Revenue Manager supporting our Regional Operations Team. In this role you will be responsible for managing the revenue for our business through developing pricing strategies and forecasting revenue for our holiday parks. You will be required to work closely with our Parks and Operations teams to create pricing strategies for business plans and upcoming marketing campaigns. You will develop revenue, dynamic pricing and strategy in line with our company strategy and management operations that will support the growth of EBITDA and revenue.

You must have demonstrated experience with Revenue/Yield and pricing management experience with a multisite portfolio with additional experience using the following technology: PMS, Channel Manager, GDS or CRS. As the Senior Revenue Manager you will lead and manage a team that has been created to support you and the business, by utilising your knowledge on strategic revenue initiatives.

In this role you will be the Lead strategist that identifies any concerns with yields and profitability and create targeted strategies to increase profitability through new pricing functions. It is paramount that you have sound insight and knowledge of pricing functions including margin pricing, cost pricing, competitor analysis and some financial modelling. To be successful in your role your CV will need to reflect the following skill set:

  • A strong background in revenue and pricing management in the Tourism and Hospitality industry
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal and demonstrated ability to lead and build relationships within the business
  • Strong commercial strategic advisory background with knowledge of margin pricing, price and discount policies, yield and commercial analysis, profitability strategy and cost pricing
  • Commercial ability to model and advise on pricing revenue performance and profitable growth strategy
  • Experience as a Manager to be able to lead and manage a team, whilst imparting your knowledge to better equip the regional revenue managers in strategic pricing analysis and revenue and yield strategy analysis

Your Experience

Tertiary Qualifications in Economics, Finance/Commercial Accounting or Applied Statistics is essential.

You will possess a high level of energy, self-motivation, decisiveness, initiative, flexibility and attention to detail to be successful in meeting the business demands at Discovery Parks. Your naturally upbeat and open style will fit our cultural values. You will draw on your advanced analytical skills and form strong cross-functional bonds to create effective outcomes, with the ability to assess the urgency of work allocated to you by various stakeholders whilst working closely with our established Regional Operations Team.
