DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:

-Support to designated Business Development Managers
-General administrative support and problem solving to trade partners by phone and email
- Responsible for providing strategic direction and coaching for direct reports/inside sales
- Identify trends/issues to Directors.
- Answer questions, assist with difficult customer situations and handle escalated situations.
- Communicate with all departments to ensure alignment on messaging and customer expectations.
- Monitor queue and track inbound calls. Keep agents aware of inbound calls, calls waiting, abandonment rate, etc.
- Motivate and encourage agents through positive communication and feedback.
-Liaison with operations, reservations and marketing departments for trade related queries
-Proactively recommend sales policy to ensure best practice in the department
-Support of agent communication of promotional campaigns, activity and news, liaise with communications coordinator
-Liaison with Marketing regarding marketing activity and agent communication pieces
-Communicate trade campaigns in conjunction with the marketing team
-Liaison with operations and reservations departments to assist the operation of the sales department.
-Attendance at sales events/shows when required





EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

You must have at least 3 years experience in a Operations Role within the travel industry, a sound knowledge of travel consortium's in Australia and the ability to build & nurture strong relationships
