The Windmill Motel and Events Centre in Mackay, Queensland, is seeking a casual chef/cook to work with our current team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced and dynamic industry in an amazing location, perfect for exploring Queensland.
We are offering a casual contract with an immediate start. You will prepare breakfast/dinner in our Mill Restaurant every Sunday and Monday - a total of approximately 15 hours per week.
For Breakfast you will need to prepare the dishes from our existing menu, we are open to the successful applicant either cooking the full Dinner menu or providing a smaller selection for evening meals.
Further hours may be required during the week assisting in our restaurant kitchen or with food preparation for events.
Duties will include:
- Breakfast and Dinner Preparation on Sunday and Monday
- Menu Innovation
- Management of Food Safety Requirements
- Stock Rotation
What you need to join us?
- Cook/Chef qualifications or equivalent prior experience
- Enthusiasm, passion and the ability to deliver a great meal
- Hardworking attitude
- Previous experience in working in a small friendly team
- A dedication to maintaining the highest hygiene and food safety standards.
