This impressive venue has already captured the hearts of locals and visitors when we opened its doors in early 2016, making it Australia’s largest beer garden.

Nestled amongst idyllic gardens, and incorporating various outdoor dining spaces and bars (think mouth-watering burgers, wood-fired pizza's, and simple, no fuss seafood), the sprawling grounds of The Newport include areas perfect for our guests to while the day and night away. A New Day, Every Day
As one of the leaders in our business your key responsibility will be to lead a medium to large sized team of floor staff. With the goal to nurture exceptional service from the team, you will lead from the front and have a pulse on absolutely everything!

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of a diverse team, building and maintaining a strong team culture
• Understanding and owning your financials including driving revenue streams and managing controls
• Ensuring the guest experience is exceptional and training the team to deliver this service
• Accountable for the effective development (product knowledge, job related task performance) of team members to meet and exceed business objectives through individual and team performance
• Operational Support; specifically ensuring compliance standards are adhered to
• Responsible for attracting, engaging, recruiting and assessing talent to grow and nurture.

The Person:

• An extensive understanding of managing medium to large sized teams.
• Service focused background with a natural ability to manager multiple areas of service
• Confident yet humble with a mature attitude
• Minimum of 3 years in a management position
• Influencing, coaching and presentation skills
• Strong stakeholder management skills
