It is now time for a Head Chef/ Kitchen Manager to join our ever growing team; to understand our brand, to build upon the foundations of our story and success, and to join us in the exciting new adventure ahead.

The Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Chef/ Kitchen manager to add to our ever-growing team. You will be accountable for the smooth delivery of thousands of meals a week with the expectation of maintaining firm labour and food cost targets. A passion for food is a must, as well as a strong motivation to succeed in your career and drive our kitchen and product to the next level.

Who you are

  • An experienced Chef/ Kitchen Manager with 2+ years’ experience leading a high-quality event kitchen or fast paced venue.
  • Strong technical cooking abilities
  • You will be a leader invested in your staff, their development and productivity.
  • Diligent and adhere to regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements.
  • A controller of labour and food costs
  • Superior leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate staff as part of a high performing team to deliver individual goals and Ricks Garage ambition.
  • Organizational Skills - Keeping work schedules, shipments, cleaning schedules and being organized is crucial to the job.
  • Proven experience in working in a cross-functional team environment with a strong commitment to a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders, build and maintain effective relationships with team members, clients, suppliers and customers.
  • Ability in managing multiple staff, working to set budgets and targets.
  • Be professional and well presented
  • Be confident, patient, friendly, sociable, reliable and self-motivated
