Peninsula Kingswood Country Golf Club is seeking to appoint a Chef De Partie to join their dynamic kitchen in the soon to be opened state of the art clubhouse, located near the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. We are looking for someone who will share our passion for food and is driven to be the best in the business.  In return you will have the opportunity to learn from career professionals who can help hone your skills for career progression. 

Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Chef De Partie will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef and Chef De Cuisine in delivering high quality food to the club’s members and guests. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining a high standard and consistent quality in the daily preparation of food whilst keeping up to date with new products, recipes and preparation techniques
  • Coordinating daily tasks with the Chef De Cuisine
  • Possessing comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production and presentation standards

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Have (as a minimum) Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and at least 5 years’ experience working in a well-established restaurant or full service hotel
  • Have a sound understanding of all kitchen operations including section ordering, stock takes and an understanding of current food trends
  • The ability to work autonomously
  • The ability to take direction
  • A punctual, professional and reliable manner
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings
  • High level organisational skills and attention to detail
